IMG_0713The joint project of NursIT Institute and Softline Schaum – „WiseMat – Telematic Nursing Mattress, the intelligent, sensor-based patient mattress system“ – is the winner of the topic „Ambient Assisted Living“ in the competition „digital health for a better life“ 2016 of the Land Brandenburg.

Softline Schaum GmbH & Co. KG develops its special mattresses (antidecubitus mattresses) for various requirements, such as for intensive care or for obese patients. For this purpose, the mattresses are provided with the latest sensors in cooperation with NursIT Institute GmbH.

An independent jury consisting of recognized representatives from science and business selected the five winners. The jury was chaired by Professor Dr. Arno Elmer from the FOM University of Economics and Management in Berlin. „This competition offers various players the opportunity to successfully develop and market innovative solutions for the challenges of today and tomorrow. The total of 38 submitted contributions is an impressive confirmation of the great interest in the digitalisation of health care, „explained Elmer.
